during the later part of the year, we lose light pretty quickly. so in order to compensate for an evening or late day wedding and still get the creative shots, sometimes it is necessary for the bride and groom to see each other before the ceremony. we call this a "first look." more than not, this turns out to be a more intimate moment for the bride and groom than walking down the aisle - they get to talk to each other and enjoy a quiet moment together in private - well with me watching of course ;). and best of all - by the time the ceremony is over - you are done with formal pictures and get to enjoy the rest of your evening and the party you paid so much for!
